# Vom Silicon Valley nach Ostwestfalen Lippe – Agiles Management mit OKR Teil 1

#### OKR setzt hohe Ziele

Entstanden ist die OKR-Methode schon in den 80ern. Erfunden durch Intel-Mitbegründer [Andy Grove](https://www.facebook.com/whatmatterscom/videos/andy-grove-teaching-okrs-in-the-70s-at-intel/458914971197411/) wurde es von [Google](https://rework.withgoogle.com/guides/set-goals-with-okrs/steps/introduction/) zu dem gemacht, was es heute ist: **der Standard für Personalführung in einem agilem und schnelllebigen Umfeld.**

OKR steht für: Objectives & Key Results. Die Ziele (Objectives) sind ambitioniert, aber in ihrer Umsetzung nur bedingt konkret. Die Schlüsselergebnisse (Key Results) sind messbar und klar beziffert (z.B. mit Prozentangaben von 0 bis 100 %).

**Eine regelmäßige, hundertprozentige Erreichung der Ziele ist bei OKR unerwünscht**, denn das würde darauf hinweisen, dass die Ziele nicht ambitioniert genug sind. Deshalb sieht die Methode einen Ergebniskorridor von 70 bis 90 Prozent Zielerreichung vor.

#### Warum sollte ein Unternehmen OKRs einsetzen?

#### Kann OKR scheitern?

Klar. Die OKR-Methode stringent einzusetzen, kann eine Herausforderung sein. Denn **die Methode fordert Transparenz, Fokus, Commitment, Selbstorganisation und zeitlichen Aufwand**. Das gesamte Unternehmen muss hinter der Methode stehen und einen Wunsch zur Veränderung in Richtung mehr Agilität haben.

**Risiken und Herausforderungen** sind beispielsweise:

- Falsch eingeführt, kann die Methode als Kontrollinstrument interpretiert werden und Druck oder Unmut erzeugen.
- Zu viele Ziele können die MitarbeiterInnen überfordern, ein angemessener Fokus ist hier das A und O.
- Zu Beginn ist ein gewisser Zeitraum (abseits vom Tagesgeschäft) freizuräumen, um die Methode adäquat einzuführen.

#### OKR in der konkreten Anwendung

Soweit so gut. Die Theorie klingt logisch und macht Sinn.
